Along the way

Exit the station to the left and follow Harwood Ave all the way to trailhead.

Follow the trail down the ridge. The side track to the right leads to a lookout across Apple Tree Bay.

Right before the stone staircase a partially obscured side track on the left leads to Fireman's Rest.

The trail down the ridge ends at a lookout across Cowan Creek.

From the lookout follow the trail to the right down to the water's edge.

Follow the trail along the water to the right.

The trail ends at Apple Tree Bay's boat ramp.

Follow the paved road on the other side of Apple Tree Bay to Bobbin Head.

At Bobbin Head, cross the picnic area towards the bridge.

Cross the bridge and enter the marina to the left. The trail continues at the far end of the marina.

Follow the trail along the creek.

At the intersection in the trail, follow the signs up to the Sphynx War Memorial.

At the junction at the top of the climb, continue to the right towards to the Sphynx War Memorial.

From the war memorial follow the car park to the road out of the national park.

Follow the road past the hospital and turn right down the urban streets to find the next trail head.

At the junction in the firetrail, follow the direction to the Gibberagong Track.

Another junction leads down a rougher trail to the left into the gully and down to the Gibberagong track.

After descending down to the creek, follow the sign to Bobbin Head to the right.

Follow the walking trail along the creek.

The trail ends at a rocky outcrop, with Aboriginal stone cuttings.

Past the stone cuttins, follow the boardwalk through the mangroves.

Cross the bridge at the end of the mangroves and follow the path back onto the Bobbin Head picnic area.

Follow the left side of the picnic area and find the stone staircase going up, right before the Bobbin Head Inn.

Follow the signs up the ridge to the Kalkari Visitor Centre, which is well worth paying a visit to.

Continue past the visitor centre, where the trail will eventually lead to the park entrance and the main road to Mount Colah Station.
